CRITTER CAMP / CRITTER CLASS

CRITTER CAMP:

Grant’s Farm Critter Camp has everything you want for your child’s camp experience. Critter Camp is an outdoor camp for children between the ages of 5 and 10 where campers have the opportunity to:

  • Train and care for an animal
  • Provide and understand the importance of animal enrichment
  • Learn horse husbandry and grooming techniques
  • Explore the Deer Park on a private safari ride
  • Investigate behind the scenes areas
  • Create individual and group arts & crafts
  • Have fun

In addition, each camper will receive a special “Critter Camp” t-shirt and water bottle, and lunch each day chosen from our menu along with frozen treats.

Critter Camp KidsWHEN:

Critter Camp is offered Tuesday-Friday from
8:30 AM - 1:00 PM on the following days:

  • June 3 - 6
  • June 10 - 13
  • June 17 - 20
  • June 24 - 27
  • July 1 - 4 (NO CAMP - Happy 4th of July)
  • July 8 - 11
  • July 15 - 18
  • July 22 - 25
  • July 29 - August 1

COST:

$160.00 per camper per session.

Registration: Registration required by Friday, May 23, 2008. Registration on a first come first serve basis. If registration and physical forms are not received by Friday, May 23rd 2008 reservations may not be guaranteed.

All campers will receive lunch, camp T-shirt, and water bottle.

Outreach Programs

CRITTER CLASS:

Critter Class is a program designed to enhance student's understanding and appreciation of the role animals play. Students interact with Grant's Farm Staff and animals as they learn the characteristics, habitats, and behaviors of various birds, mammals and reptiles. All program objectives are aligned with National Science Educations Standards.

COST:

Class Setting
- 35 Children maximum per class
- One hour session
- Wide variety of animals available
- Cost is $200.00 for the first hour and $100.00 each additional hour
Stations
- 120 Children maximum per program hour
- 4 Stations of animals in gym or auditorium
- Wide variety of animals available
- Cost is $250.00 for the first hour and $100.00 each additional hour
Presentation Setting
-120+ children in an educational presentation setting
- Question and Answer session
- No petting available
- Wide variety of animals available
- Cost is $200.00 for the first hour and $100.00 each additional hour
